Friday Favorites::Sara Designs

Happy Friday, everyone! Hope you all have fun plans for this holiday weekend. It's so sad saying goodbye to summer but I'm definitely excited for the cooler temps and all the fun fall festivities we have coming our way.

On to our Friday Favorites for this week: Say hello to Sara Designs. When I got an email yesterday from my favorite online jewelry site, Max & Chloe, telling me about the awesome sale they have going on for the holiday weekend, I couldn't help but notice the brightly colored baubles in the background. They instantly reminded me of some of my best friends who like to stack and stack and stack brightly colored beaded, braided, chained, wrapped (you get the idea)  bracelets on their wrists. Their wrists look like an explosion of Fruits Loops, but in a very cool, happy way. It didn't take me long to stumble across a few of her necklaces and once I spotted necklace # 2 (below), I was sold. Her pieces are a bit more pricey than I would normally like to spend on costume jewelry but the GREAT NEWS: there is a HUGE sale going on at Max & Chloe until September 4th so all of the pieces below are on sale!

In My Closet - DV Booties

Spotted on the pages of US Weekly & People Style Watch, these Dolce Vita "Java" booties are being compared to the  Rag & Bone Harrow bootie as a major fall save but have that splurge look. Chrissy and I are always looking for a solid splurge vs save comparison, and these do not disappoint. I cannot wait to wear them this fall!

Color Me Happy: Salmon & Gold

While pinning on Pinterest, I came across a few different pins with the color combo of salmon & gold and fell in love. I've always been drawn to the blues family, pairing gold with turquoise or cobalt but once I saw this combination, I decided I had to try it.  Now that summer is nearing an end, I feel like salmon and gold is the perfect color combo to transition into fall but still hang on to that summery feeling.

Essie Fall 2012

Nail polish has come to be like an accessory. I am guilty of getting a mani way too often but I can't seem to help myself with all of the amazing colors that come out each season. As much as I don't want summer to end, I'm still looking forward to the seasons changing and heading into fall. Snapshots- Nantucket

I was lucky enough to have a week off from work and escape to one of my favorite summer destinations- Nantucket. I took only a few snaps over my week there and decided to share them with all of you.

From top left was the bay before Smith Point, a "Rita" at my favorite after beach spot Milly's, homemade black berry ice cream from the Juice Bar, beach day on Madaket and my nephew's little converse's, - I am kind of obsessed with them!

I've Got the Blues

For the past year, I've been searching for the perfect blue bag. An obvious favorite is the Celine Luggage Bag in Cobalt but the price tag on that puppy is just a little too high for me. Much to my surprise, Fall looks like it will be loaded with tons of great options for blue bags. Below are a few of my favorites. As you all know Chrissy and I love a solid arm party. I felt like we have not updated you all on our recent bauble stacks so I figured I would bunch up some recent finds and pull some pictures to demonstrate just how amazing an arm party is. I love dainty jewelry do not get me wrong, but stacks and stack of bracelets, on one arm or even both make me go weak at the knees. 

In My Closet

My beloved makeup cases both gifted. The pink is from Chrissy as a bridesmaid gift (literally the perfect gift to give- great idea!) and the second was a birthday gift. CWonder makes these cases which are washable and really fun to mix and match the colors. 

Bunny dish from mom. I love it's little ears to hold all of my delicate gold pieces. You can see my Gorjana Rose Gold Plate and my Jennifer Zeuner Cross and Ariel Gordon Pinky Rings. 

I was not sure about buying a jest (jean-vest!) but over a maxi it actually looks pretty good!  This one from Madewell  was on sale and is a really light washed denim which happens to go with a ton. The cream "honey comb" sweater is also a Madewell recent purchase and could not be cozier. Is it fall yet!?

Diamond Spike necklace from Minusey. You could wear this necklace with a plain white tee and it would grab someone's attention. I love the diamonds paired with spikes because it's kind of rough and badass but the diamonds have a feminine touch. 

Ripped Olive Green Rag & Bones. Recent purchase from Intermix and I must say Rag & Bone denim, up there with JBrand, are probably my favorite. They fit true to size and are so soft they mold to your body.

Another amazing piece from CWonder. This silver tray, initially bought for my coffee table has ended up on my dresser in my bedroom. I thought it was a fun way to group together perfume, jewelry, and a photo. Gotta love that NYC street art!

Summer Sale at Shopbop!

Right when we start to get excited about fall clothes, shopbop has to go and have their end of season summer sale! Everything summer is now up to 70% off. Going to "my hearts" right now. I wonder if it's time to get the Pour La Victoire Brice Satchel....
